It is quite clear that the Apartheid regime is able to mobilize more resources and therefore apply a great deal more pressure on the BBC than Free Palestine campaigners can presently muster. This why I advocate a “regular” picket at the BBC head offices in Portland. Place. Regular to be in accordance with available resources, and increased in intensity as more resources become available. The pickets could also be work shops, monitoring news and programs and highlighting the BBC bias contained within them preferably before the transmission, but in any event to respond immediately upon transmission. Thus we will in time match the pressure of the Apartheid apparatus, and win fair representation of the Palestinian cause and the oppression of the Palestinian people by the apartheid regime.

Unlike the BBC, even the two leading Israeli newspapers-Haaretz and the Jerusalem Post reported the correct facts!

Having written to the BBC for years to complain, only to receive the ‘official line’ from junior staff, I decided to write to the BBC Governors about preserved bias. I wrote a separate letter to all of the Governors, enveloping each, but because of postal costs [I am after all only a private individual] sending them in one large envelope.
Among my complaints, was the description of the Palestinian fighters as ‘Gunmen’ or ‘Terrorists?’
I received reply from the Secretary to the Governors, spinning the usual line about the BBC being unbiased, and informing me, the “The BBC had never called the Palestinian militants- Terrorists”.
At this time, I wondered why I had not received a reply directly from any of the Governors. I therefore wrote to the secretary, asking if he had in fact distributed my individually addressed letters, or if he had been asked to reply on their joint instruction. I also provided detailed information of the actual date of the news broadcast, when the BBC HAD called the Palestinian militants Terrorists! I am still waiting for an answer to my letter!

Doing this sort of monitoring does make one very suspicious. You have to ask yourself if you are not just jumping to conclusions. Whether the offending report was done on purpose [The Black Arts!] or just because of lack of thought.

Another incident I witnessed was of interest. Way back in 2004 I was watching the Olympic Games opening ceremony from Greece. The teams entered with their counties flags in alphabetical order, and as time went on and it reached the countries with names starting with P, I realised that there was a small Palestinian contingent.

Pleased that the Palestinians were getting a rare positive showing by the World’s media, I called to my wife to come and see the Palestinian team. No sooner had the Palestinian team come into view, than the coverage quickly changed from the entering team- to the milling crowd of previously entered contestants now in the middle of the arena! I was furious! I just couldn’t believe that anyone could be so petty as to deliberately change the shot!
Surely the Zionists were not so powerful as to get the Greek TV controlling producers to do this?
I wrote to complain to the BBC TV. In reply, I was informed that ‘AT THAT VERY MOMENT’ of the Palestine team entering, the ‘BBC producers in London had taken control back from the Greek authorities to choose their own coverage’!
