From Pyongyang with pictures
On 27th September Yannis Kontos will be at the Frontline Club showing and talking about the photographs he took during 17 days in North Korea. It’s not the easiest place to get to, and certainly not a simple spot to work in. Yannis will be telling us how he did it. If you’re hungry for more from the Hermit Kingdom, today’s Guardian has a slideshow from Jonathan Watts in Pyongyang to accompany a special report. There’s more about Yannis in April’s Digital Journalist together with some snaps. Meanwhile, if you’ve ever felt like an extended stopover in Pyongyang – say a year or so – you might want to read the account of someone who did first.
