If your objective is to provide coverage for the under reported events of the world, it is the Tamils’ side of the story which requires a floor as it has been severely under reported, if not maligned by the world press. The government (of Srilanka) has been riding, quite happily, on the back of the ‘War on Terror’ vehicle amidst the West’s motorcade. I would not say the Frontline’s statement on the withdrawal of TAG membership is a lie, on the contrary, I would have been a much happier person if the panel had told the truth!
Knowing the how the propaganda machine of the Government of Srilanka, driven by the most influential PR firms of the west, is operating, I would have been surprised If you hadn’t withdrawn the TAG participation.
More injustices are done by people who say they are acting in the best interests of the people, so people say, is worth mentioning.

The Frontline club is neither denying nor supporting the claim of genocide. How on earth you can discuss about the future of the island without addressing a major humanitarian disaster in the history of Sri Lankan civil war. I could not see any one in the panel who is well informed about the LTTE, hence the discussion on future of the LTTE is a futile exercise. I can understand that Sri Lankan civil war is a topic far too much for Frontline club in terms of academically and intellectually. The frontline club is doing more harm to the Eelam Tamils by manipulating the discussion panel during this painful period. The modern day organic tea liberalism is not well placed to understand our pain.
